Applicable Scenarios

This document provides guidance for connecting the S2-WL-ST, S3-WiFi-ST, and S3-GPRS-ST Solis data loggers to multiple Solis inverters using a single COM port.

Data Loggers Supported:

  • S2-WL-ST
  • S3-WiFi-ST
  • S3-GPRS-ST

Compatible Inverters:

  • Solis-1P(2.5-6)K-4G / S5-GR1P(2.5-6)K / S6-GR1P(2.5-6)K
  • Solis-1P(7-10)K-4G / S5-GR1P(7-10)K
  • Solis-3P(3-20)K-4G / S5-GR3P(3-20)K

Required Accessory:

  • Pre-made connector with cables (2.5m distance between connectors). Two options are available:
    • For 5 inverters: BOM Code: 2313020142
    • For 10 inverters: BOM Code: 2313020143

Install the Data Logger

Connect each of the single connectors from the pre-made accessory to the 4-pin COM port at the bottom of each inverter.

  • If the number of inverters is fewer than the available connectors, cut off the excess connector(s) and cable.
  • If the cable length between connectors is insufficient, you can cut the cable and extend it as needed.

Locate the connector with two ends. Connect the end labeled Bl (presumably a typo, should clarify label) to the appropriate device (if applicable).

Power on the inverters and set the slave addresses for each inverter to be different Setting Path: Settings-> Address For example: If there are 3 inverters connected, please set the final inverter (Connected with the data logger) to salve address = 01. Then, set the other inverters to slave address = 02, 03.

After configuration and power up the system. The three LED indicators on the data logger should be constantly ON, which indicates the normal communication.
