Setting Up the Data Logger

  1. Connect the Antenna: Attach the antenna to the data logger.

  2. Plug in the Logger: Connect the logger to the inverter, ensuring the inverter is powered on with at least DC power.

  3. Connect to the Logger's Wi-Fi Network:

    • Open the Wi-Fi settings on your phone and search for new networks.
    • Look for a network named "Solis_XXXXXXXXXX" (where "XXXXXXXX" is the logger's serial number).
    • If the network doesn't appear, press and hold the Reset button for 10 seconds until both the NET and COM lights flash simultaneously.
    • Connect to the Solis_XXXXXXXXXX network.
  4. Access the Logger's Interface:

    • Open a browser on your phone and enter 10.10.100.254 in the address bar.
    • Log in with the username "admin" and password "123456789".
  5. Connect to Wi-Fi:

    • Go to the Quick Set tab, then tap Search in the top-left corner.
    • Select your local 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network (Note: 5GHz networks are not supported).
    • Enter the Wi-Fi password (ensure it's correct) and tap Save.
  6. Confirm Connection:

    • If the setup is successful, the Solis_XXXXXXXXXX network will disappear, and the NET and COM lights on the logger will begin flashing.
  7. Add the Logger to SolisCloud:

    • Log in to SolisCloud and go to your plant.
    • Tap the three dots in the top-right corner and select Add Device.
    • Use the scanner to scan the QR code on the logger. If the scanner has difficulty, place your hand behind the logger to help it focus, or enter the serial number manually.
  8. Verify the Setup:

    • Go to the Device tab in your plant, then navigate to the Data Logger tab.
    • The data logger should now appear, showing the last reported data.



Updating the Wi-Fi Password

  1. Connect to the Logger's Network:

    • Ensure you're near the Solis Wi-Fi data logger.
    • Use an internet-capable device (smartphone, laptop, or tablet) to connect to the desired Wi-Fi network and confirm you have the correct new password.
    • In your Wi-Fi settings, connect to the network named "AP_(logger serial number)".
  2. Access the Logger’s Settings:

    • Open a web browser and enter 10.10.100.254 in the address bar.
  3. Log In to the Interface:

    • Use the following login credentials:
      • Username: admin
      • Password: admin
  4. Use the Setup Wizard:

    • Click on 'Wizard' in the menu on the left-hand side and follow the steps.
    • Select your Wi-Fi network and enter the correct password. All other settings can be skipped unless you have customized network configurations (such as Subnet Mask).
  5. Complete the Setup:

    • Once the wizard finishes successfully, you’ll see a message prompting you to close the page manually.
    • The device will automatically restart.
  6. Wait for Data:

    • Allow up to 15 minutes for your plant’s data to appear in the app or monitoring portal.
