On the main screen there are several icons denoting the different components of the entire system. From left to right, here are what the icons represent:
- PV Module icon (top left): PV arrays connected to the inverter
- Battery icon (bottom left): high-voltage energy storage system connected to the inverter
- Inverter icon (middle): Solis Energy Storage Inverter
- House icon (middle-top-right): home that is consuming power
- Meter icon (top-right): meter connected to the inverter via RS-485 that is gathering consumption and exportation data
- Grid icon: (bottom-right): the grid (or utility) importing or exporting power to and from the home
- Light bulb icon: (middle-bottom-right): backup power being consumed by the backup loads panel
There are four buttons beneath the screen that can be pressed:
- ESC - This is essentially a "back" button allowing you to return to the previous screen
- UP - Use this button to scroll up within the menus
- DOWN - Use this button to scroll down within the menus
- ENTER - This is the "select" button which lets you choose and save settings within the interface
